School let out approximately 2 weeks ago and it's summer. I haven't really updated you all in a while so I figured I should let you all know what's happened since May 17.

On May 29th I received an invitation to the Academic Awards Ceremony at my school. Basically, it's where students who are outstanding in a subject, or everything, receive awards to acknowledge their talents. Well, I didn't get the award I was expecting(art award), just the President's Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence. As it was time to leave, my art teacher, Mr. Hartman, went up to my family and I and said that with all his heart he wanted to give it to me, but the school went by Grades and was .1% higher then me. Bummer.

On June 3rd I got the most painful thing I've ever experienced, Swimmers Ear. It lasted for a whole week and I was out almost the entire last week of school.

On June 11th I graduated the 8th grade and my summer began. Since then nothing much has happened with me, except that I found out I got into Honors English, but that isn't very exciting.

On Saturday I went to the beach with my besties Ashley and Dave, and we ate dinner at the most amazing restaurant ever.. CRABBY DICKS! And no, it is not a gay bar. It's just the most amazing restaurant ever. We took pictures of all of us standing in front of the sign - I'll post it later.

However, those exact same friends of mine, Ashley and Dave, are going through a very sad time in their life. Their grandfather is very, very ill and is most likely to die soon as well as their aunt whom lives with their grandfather and grandmother. So the poor grandmother is most likely to soon be living alone. Dave just left early this morning to stay with them for about a week to help them out(I'm going to miss him, we talk to each other every day). So everyone, keep their family in your prayers and hope for the best. They need a miracle.
